In 2026, Conapi members delivered over 2,000 tons of honey, matching 2025's output. The Monterenzio (Bologna) cooperative, comprising more than 600 beekeepers, 100,000 hives, and 5 billion bees, closed the 2025-2026 agricultural year (ending June 30) with a turnover of €24.5 million. Exports were strong to France and Japan, with new markets opening in Canada and South Korea.

On the retail shelf, in a stagnant €157 million market (NielsenIQ, last 52 weeks to August 23, 2026, Italy total), Conapi's Mielizia brand grew by 2.8% in value and 8.6% in units sold. The previous year saw a record harvest of 31 million tons, a 42% increase over 2024, supplemented by 26,000 tons of imports.
