Vihiga Governor Launches Tree Nursery and Beekeeping Project

Vihiga Governor Dr Wilber Ottichilo inaugurated the Gamurembe Tree Nursery and Apiculture Project in Muhudu Ward, Sabatia Sub-County, to promote environmental conservation, climate resilience, and community livelihoods. The project, under the Directorate of Climate Change and funded by the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) programme, integrates indigenous tree seedling production with beekeeping to aid ecosystem restoration and generate income.
