The official opening of "Honey Fest – Botevgrad 2026" took place in front of the Historical Museum in Botevgrad. The event gathered local beekeepers and producers showcasing a wide variety of honey and bee products from the region. Among the guests was the deputy mayor of Botevgrad municipality, Nikolay Nikolov.

The festive atmosphere was enhanced by children from kindergarten "Sinchets" dressed in bee costumes, whose performance brought smiles and applause. Folk dancers from the dance group at the Professional High School of Technical and Mechanical Engineering "Hristo Botev" in Botevgrad, led by Nina Petkova, also participated, presenting Bulgarian folk dances.
