Beekeeping has been conducted at Prague Airport since November 2011. The quality of the honey produced there reflects the bees' good condition. For the twelfth consecutive time, their honey won a gold medal in the Czech Honey competition, organized annually by the Czech Beekeepers Association and the Bee Research Institute.

"We keep bees at the airport mainly for biomonitoring purposes. It is especially gratifying that the honey consistently performs well in strict expert evaluations," says Soňa Hykyšová, director for environment, sustainability, and ESG.
