The Rural Development Administration (RDA) released a revised standard glossary of beekeeping terms in simple Korean to mark Hangul Day. On the 580th anniversary of Hangul Day, the RDA published the updated glossary featuring 31 beekeeping terms, including newly refined expressions.

Many beekeeping terms originated from Japanese kanji or outdated expressions, causing difficulties for new farmers and the public in understanding related information. To address this, the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences under RDA has been simplifying commonly used beekeeping terms.
