One of Slovenia's most demanding and costly projects—the construction of a modern men's prison in Dobrunje, Ljubljana—is nearing completion. The educational center and open section of the prison are fully operational, and soon the closed section will open its doors to authorized personnel.

We were the first to enter the open section of Ljubljana prison, located outside the multi-meter concrete fence with numerous surveillance cameras. This section will soon house inmates transferred from Povšetova. The regime here differs significantly from that of prisoners confined behind barbed wire and under constant supervision.
