ALBRANDSWAARD - Beekeepers Myriam Börger and a colleague are actively searching for nests of the Asian hornet, also known as the yellow-legged hornet, in Albrandswaard. They are concerned about the impact of this invasive species on honey bees, wild bees, and other insects. Although the spread of the Asian hornet cannot be completely stopped, locating and removing nests early can slow its expansion. Alert residents play an important role in this effort.
