Beekeeper Şaban Abdiş in Kastamonu produces 600 kilograms of honey annually in his village located at 1441 meters altitude on Ilgaz Mountain. Living with his wife, he does not leave the village and sells his products to customers who visit.

At 64 years old, Abdiş earns his living by selling honey and resides in Gözecik Neighborhood of Bostan village, which has 10 households and experiences snow for nearly half the year. He does not abandon the village for his bees and noted that Ilgaz Mountain hosts many animal and plant species in its unique geography.
