Deadly Asian Hornet Nest Found in Cork, Threat to Irish Bees

Three experts recently held a large nest of the deadly Asian hornet discovered in Cork after tracking a single hornet there. The Asian hornet poses a severe threat to bees, though its sting is only painful to humans without allergies. This invasive predator endangers native Irish bees, risking their extinction. Unlike natural predators, the Asian hornet has no local countermeasures, making it a formidable threat.
