A resident of the Talakan settlement in the Amur region encountered a female bear and two cubs on the territory of the fire station where he works. The bear family came to the hives to feed on honey for at least three consecutive days at the end of September.

According to Alexey Lobanov, on the first day he was about 20 meters from the hives, talking on the phone, when the bears approached from behind and he did not notice them. Upon seeing each other, they scattered: he ran into the fire station, the bears into the forest. About 20 minutes later, the bears circled the apiary from the other side, opened one hive, and quietly ate the honey; the next day they returned and broke all the honey-filled hives.
