After two decades of efforts, Slovenian beekeepers are finally receiving a promise of systematic state support. The government plans to provide a subsidy for each bee colony, which, considering around 200,000 colonies, would amount to approximately two million euros annually.
The Slovenian Beekeepers' Association welcomes this announcement, viewing it as significant aid for preserving Slovenian beekeeping. They also hope it will raise public awareness about the importance of quality honey.
