Genova continues to face sightings of Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) nests, with renewed calls for urgent action to control this invasive species. A large nest has been growing for months in Struppa, specifically at Giro del Fullo, on a visible tree. Despite reports from concerned residents and beekeepers affected by hornet attacks, no intervention has occurred. Residents report contacting authorities without response, while allergic individuals live in fear.
