For many, bees evoke the fear of stings, but Miguel Schikorski, a beekeeper from Pomerode, sees them differently. Surrounded by hives and nature, he finds bees a constant source of learning and a way to understand their importance.

Miguel's interest in beekeeping began during his Agricultural Technician training with a focus on Agroecology at the former Federal Agrotechnical School of Rio do Sul. During his three years of study, he was a monitor in the Beekeeping sector, sparking a lasting passion. Today, beekeeping is mainly a hobby for him, but also a means to share knowledge about nature.
