Fifty-one beekeepers from Brașov County received financial support exceeding 386,000 lei through the Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture. The funds, sourced equally from the state budget and the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, are intended for purchases essential to beekeeping activities.

The support consists of 50% European funds and 50% state budget contributions, as part of the 2023-2027 National Strategic Plan. Beekeepers can use the funds to buy veterinary medicinal products, new hive boxes, beekeeping accessories, and more, according to Adrian Folea, the agency's executive director in Brașov. Nationwide, nearly 5,400 beneficiaries have been allocated over 51 million lei under this co-financing scheme.
