Hilal Al-Subari, Head of the Beekeeping Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, spoke on the Noon Hour program about a new regulation organizing honey bee breeding. The ministry issued Ministerial Decision No. 218/2026, amending parts of the executive regulations of the agricultural system. It includes controls for licensing home, private, and commercial apiaries, regulating the transfer of bee colonies between states and governorates, and protecting Omani bee strains.
