At the start of the new school year, Katharina Brunner took over the leadership of the Warth Beekeeping School. She succeeds Karl Stückler, who led the school for 27 years and retired after more than 40 years of teaching.

Education Councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister emphasized that Brunner, as an experienced practitioner and educator, has the necessary expertise to successfully continue the traditional institution. She also thanked Stückler for his long-standing commitment.

The Warth Beekeeping School is recognized as a nationwide center for beekeeping. About half of all Austrian beekeeper specialists and masters were trained there, which Stückler attributed mainly to the efforts of master beekeepers Wolfgang Oberrisser and Alois Spanblöchl.
