In Artvin, honey production dropped from about 700 tons last year to 300 tons this season due to rainfall and seasonal changes. İbrahim Durmuş, President of the Beekeepers Association, stated that despite the decrease in production, the quality of honey has been maintained and proposed that Artvin honey be sold with a prescription in pharmacies. The Association announced the new season prices as 3,500 TRY per kilogram for chestnut honey, 2,900 TRY for flower honey, and 1,500 TRY for plateau honey.
