Jason Statham Challenges Tom Holland as Top Movie Star

Joe Russo recently called Tom Holland "the last great movie star," praising a rare quality few actors have. Shortly after, Amazon MGM released the poster for The Beekeeper 2, sparking a fan debate on r/movies where Jason Statham was proposed as a better choice.

Fans argue that Holland's success comes from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which earned $2.5 billion within a 64-year franchise backed by Sony and Marvel. In contrast, Statham starred in an original film, The Beekeeper, about a bee-themed assassin, which grossed $162.6 million worldwide on a $40 million budget, relying solely on his star power.
