The Kahramanmaraş Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry emphasized the importance of beekeeping for agricultural production, natural balance, and rural development, calling for the protection of bees. In a post titled "Beekeeping, Abundance from Nature to Tables," it was highlighted that bees contribute not only by producing honey but also by pollinating plants, supporting the sustainability of agricultural production.

The Directorate shared an infographic covering Turkey's beekeeping potential, bee products, economic and environmental benefits of beekeeping, and threats faced by bees. It was noted that Turkey has 7,929,368 hives and ranks third worldwide in hive numbers.
