In Novosibirsk region, a criminal case concerning the theft of 18 hives ended with reconciliation. The beekeeper forgave Dmitry K., who from February to May 2026 convinced an acquaintance that the hives belonged to him and persuaded him to help transport them. In fact, the hives belonged to another beekeeper.

On May 13, Dmitry K.'s acquaintance, along with others, loaded the hives into two vehicles and removed them from the apiary in the village of Umna. The case materials state the acquaintance was unaware of Dmitry's true intentions. The damage was estimated at 216,000 rubles, which the court recognized as significant. Dmitry K. was charged under Article 158 of the Criminal Code with theft causing significant damage, facing up to five years imprisonment.
