The president of the quilombola community Invernada dos Negros, Fábio Souza, announced the approval of a parliamentary amendment of R$ 215,000 to purchase equipment aimed at strengthening beekeeping in the community. Over 22 families received complete kits including bee boxes, protective clothing, centrifuges, and other materials for honey production and processing. Fábio stated that the investment will enhance the quality and safety of the beekeepers' work, as well as increase production and income generation. He thanked state deputy Marcos José de Abreu (Marquito), the author of the amendment, and the Municipal Agriculture Secretariat for their partnership in supporting family farming and the quilombola community.
