In Baskil district of Elazığ, beekeeper Nuri Toğantemur was attacked by bees while performing routine maintenance on the hives. The incident was captured by a security camera at a nearby house. The injured Toğantemur was first taken to Kale District State Hospital and then transferred to İnönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center in Malatya.
Toğantemur stated that after opening the hive cover, the bees swarmed his feet and attacked his legs, tearing his clothing. Upon arrival at the hospital, he was unconscious and received injection and serum treatment. He was discharged after treatment.
