Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh from Thoi Son district, An Giang province, has developed a beekeeping model for stingless bees based on small nests in the Bay Nui mountains. Starting from a few nests, the model has grown to about 1,000 and is planned to be expanded to the local population.

Thanh has known the stingless bees, which nest in tree hollows and rock crevices, since childhood. Despite their low honey yield, he recognized their economic potential and began breeding them in 2016 with about ten colonies to study their behavior and growth.
