A 62-year-old man was admitted to Hoa Binh General Hospital (Phu Tho province) after being stung by over 300 giant bees while observing a relative harvesting honey. Although he was more than 200 meters away from the hive and covered with clothing, he suffered stings on his head, face, neck, upper body, and both arms. He complained of severe pain, dizziness, and abdominal pain.

Doctors diagnosed second-degree anaphylaxis and warned of systemic poisoning risk due to the large amount of bee venom entering his body. The intensive care team immediately began treatment, provided supportive care, and monitored for organ damage. Six to seven medical staff examined the patient and removed remaining stingers, including one deeply embedded in his ear.
