With rural development supports from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Esra Yıldırım from Sinop established a beekeeping business in Şerefiye village, Erfelek district. Under the Rural Disadvantaged Areas Development Project (KDAKP), 70% of the total 1,106,000 TL investment was funded by the government.

With a grant of 774,000 TL, 260 bee hives and various equipment for production were procured. Yıldırım completed necessary beekeeping training and started production. Sinop Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry Director Murat Genc visited the production site to get information. The Directorate stated this investment supports young people to establish businesses and participate in agricultural production in rural areas.
