After moving to a higher altitude, Vlašicová noticed that queen bees start brood rearing very early, but subsequent cold weather and lack of food slow colony development. "This led me to question whether bees could be effectively supported with proper nutrition during critical periods. The result was the first recipe for a stimulating feed dough intended for spring," explains the project author.
