There is excitement in the honey extraction of Ardahan flower honey, which is registered with a geographical indication by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. The organic production of Ardahan flower honey, made in hives placed in highlands and mountains above 2000 meters with rich flora in spring, greatly contributes to the local economy. The first harvest of this honey, known for its unique aroma and produced after a laborious effort, has been completed. The "Ardahan flower honey," collected by the Caucasian bee, which ranks among the top four in the world, from the nectar of over a thousand plant species, is also gaining recognition for its quality.
