The geographical indication certification of Bingöl honey, produced in highlands with rich flora, has been met with joy in the city.

Bingöl University, a pilot university in the field of bees and bee products, has obtained a geographical indication certificate for Bingöl honey, which was analyzed from 108 points in 36 regions representing the entire city over three years, and received certification from the EU on October 7, 2022.
