Honeybee Drives Wild Bee to 'Red List' of Endangered Species

Initiatives Against Bee Mortality

The situation for bees is dire, and various initiatives are being launched to combat bee mortality and save the insect. However, new French research shows that some initiatives may be counterproductive. For instance, in Paris, many beehives have been added in recent years, but not all bees benefit from this. The honeybee is taking the place of the wild bee, resulting in less nectar and pollen available for other species.
