Kars Beekeepers Expect a Productive Season

A Bountiful Season After Drought

This year, it is reported that the plateaus in Kars are covered with more flowers due to heavy rainfall. This situation allows beekeepers to have a fruitful season in honey production. Last year, beekeepers obtained 5-6 kilograms of honey per hive due to the drought, but this season, thanks to the heavy snowfall in winter and the rains in spring, they are producing honey in the blooming plateaus. Beekeepers expect to collect an average of 15-20 kilograms of honey per hive this year. Some beekeepers even state that they can obtain up to 30 kilograms of honey per hive.
