'Organic farming suits us'

At the organic care farm De Pruimenpot in Dronten, participants with intellectual disabilities work. The fruit-growing business has a shop with homemade products. 'In 1995, we took over the nursery from Anton's parents. In 1999, we removed part of the apple trees and replaced them with plum trees. We now have 4 hectares of plums, 1 hectare of apples, 1 hectare of walnuts, and some small fruits: red currants, gooseberries, raspberries, and strawberries,' says Esther van Hermon, co-owner of care farm De Pruimenpot in Dronten, along with Anton Oostveen.
