International Bee Celebration

We tell you why May 20 was established as the international day of celebration for bees. Due to their work in producing honey, which has served as food and medicine for millennia, Slovenia proposed to commemorate this insect with a day each year. Pollinators have been a help in combating hunger throughout history. Thanks to their efforts, these insects have covered a small part of the world's food demand for millennia.
