Black Bee SOS: Rescue and Relocation of Bees in Urban Areas

In white suits that look like they came straight out of a science fiction movie, a group of rescuers heads to a light fixture in Xochimilco. Even with the darkness surrounding the site, it is easy to guess what they will find when they uncover the opening due to the intense buzzing produced by hundreds of bees that have formed a hive at the location. In just a few hours, using smoke and wooden panels, the team on this mission will have managed to contain the colony to relocate it to a protected apiary.
