Transparency in Honey Labeling in Spain

Spanish consumers will still be unable to know the percentage of raw material from each country when they purchase a jar of honey. This is due to a ruling by the European Commission that rejected the Ministry of Agriculture's draft royal decree, which required that the label not only indicate the origin of the honey but also the percentage of honey from each country, addressing the demands of producers. The Ministry is now preparing a new regulation that will not come into effect until January 20th.
