Bill to Promote Beekeeping in Colombia

The Congress of the Republic approved in the first debate a bill to promote beekeeping in the country. While Colombian beekeeping is a growing agribusiness that annually reports sustained increases in its hive inventory, it requires strengthening and creating new policy instruments to develop its growth potential both in the stock of hives and in the production of honey and other bee-derived products, also including the development of the agricultural crop pollination business.
