Beekeeping Situation in Colombia According to Fedeabejas

In recent years, the number of bee hives in the country has increased from 100,000 to nearly 150,000, as reported to Dinero by the president of Fedeabejas, Fabio Diazgranados. However, there is concern over the death of these insects. Every year, millions of bees die in Colombia and around the world due to agrochemical products used in agriculture. Although the situation is alarming, Diazgranados pointed out that it cannot be said that bees in the country will become extinct, as the number of hives has grown by 50% in recent years.
