The Truth About the Disappearance of Bees

Recently, just as many years ago, articles have been published pointing to the imminent disappearance of bees. In a dramatic newspaper headline in recent days, it was stated that Colombia will be left without bees by the year 2032. The article continues by asserting that in this country, 40% of bee colonies have been lost since 2012. Although no evidence or at least the source of this statistic is provided to the reader, let us analyze what the official FAO records indicate about the number of colonies in Colombia. We can clearly see that in the last 8 years of official reports, honey production in Colombia has been increasing, not decreasing.
