The Importance of Bees in Colombian Beekeeping

If asked for an opinion about bees, it is common to encounter the notion that they are disappearing. For the reassurance of many, and the surprise of others, not so well-intentioned, the bee population in the world is on the rise. However, we cannot ignore that there have been cases of deaths, concentrated in the United States, Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, some European countries, and even in Colombia. Nevertheless, according to the FAO, there has been global stability in the number of bees since the year 2000, thanks to the work of beekeepers who, with their daily efforts, increase the number of hives.
