Pervari Honey is Being Protected

The registered Pervari honey is produced in isolated areas to keep it safe from counterfeit products. Certified with a geographical indication certificate by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office 21 years ago, Pervari honey is produced by 739 registered beekeepers in the district, in 100,500 hives. The Pervari District Governorship, which has initiated a fight against fake honey, has designated isolated areas this year to protect the brand value of Pervari honey produced in high-altitude plateaus with rich flora, primarily in the Çemikari Plateau at an altitude of 2047 meters on the slopes of Mount Herekol.
