Beekeepers' Protest in Madrid Against Fraudulent Honey Imports

Several hundred beekeepers, dressed in their work attire and carrying beekeeping tools, gathered, called by COAG, in front of the European Commission headquarters in Madrid to protest against the massive imports of honey, many of which are fraudulent, that affect the profitability and viability of beekeeping activities in a significant part of depopulated Spain. The sector representative, Pedro Lascertales, denounces the lack of commitment from all administrations regarding this issue and demands greater controls for the benefit of beekeepers and consumers.
