Yunus Es: Producing Honey for 30 Years

60-year-old Yunus Es, living in the Derecik district of Hakkari, has been working diligently for 30 years to produce the highest quality honey. Engaged in beekeeping in the village of Yeşilova, which is part of the Derecik district, Yunus Es is among the most experienced beekeepers in the region with his 30 years of beekeeping experience. Thanks to his love and passion for beekeeping, Yunus Es has faced many challenges over the years but has never lost his commitment to the craft. While recounting his early years in beekeeping, he stated that this work is a challenging and labor-intensive endeavor, saying, "Working with bees requires great patience and dedication. When I first started, I faced many difficulties, but I did not give up. Over time, I established a better connection with the bees and began to love my work."
