Ahmet Yılmaz and Yaşar Yiğit, residents of the district, launched a campaign supported by businessmen and philanthropists to supply 1,600 kilograms of pine honey unique to Marmaris to security forces fighting terrorism. Yiğit stated that they had previously sent 500 kilograms of honey and this time collected three times that amount to provide morale and vitamin support to the teams.

The collected honey was sent to governorates to be delivered to police and soldiers in Şırnak, Diyarbakır, and Mardin.
