Egypt's Future of Egypt Agency for Sustainable Development is continuing to develop its apiary project aimed at increasing honey production. The plan, announced on 19 October 2026, covers every stage from rearing bee colonies to extracting, storing, packaging and marketing honey.

The project aims to expand apiaries across regions of Lower and Upper Egypt and to increase output next year. An integrated database of apiaries, colonies and production will be set up, and the use of digital tools will be expanded.

Beyond honey, the agency plans to produce beeswax, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, bee venom, package bees and queen bees. The plan also includes storage and packaging units, comb foundation production, quality laboratories and sales outlets.
