The number of university graduates and white-collar workers turning to beekeeping with government incentives is increasing. Turkey will host the International Young Beekeepers Meeting from July 5-9, 2027, with participation from about 50 countries. Prof. Dr. Meral Kekeçoğlu, Turkey Representative of the International Center for Young Beekeepers (ICYB), stated that interest in beekeeping is notably rising among young people and white-collar employees. Kekeçoğlu, who also directs the Beekeeping Research, Development and Application Center (DAGEM) at Düzce University, said that public incentives play a significant role in this trend.
