The 'Karakovan Honey Harvest Festival' was held for the first time in Hizan district of Bitlis. During the two-day event, beekeepers exhibited the honey they produced throughout the season, and visitors were offered honey tastings.

The festival, organized in cooperation with the Hizan District Governorship, Municipality, and Hizan Local Action Group Association, was opened with the participation of Bitlis Governor Ahmet Karakaya, Hizan District Governor Mete Öztürk, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Barış Soyal, Provincial Police Chief Hikmet Ataman, Hizan Mayor Yahya Şam, district governors, mayors, institution heads, and citizens.
