A group of sixth-grade students at Hai Lang middle school in Quang Tri province threw stones at a hive located on a mahogany tree in the schoolyard. This caused a swarm of bees to attack, injuring 27 students who required hospitalization.

On the evening of October 21, the Trieu Hai Regional General Hospital confirmed it was treating these 27 bee-stung students. Their condition is stable, although a few show level 1 anaphylaxis symptoms. Around 2 p.m., these students from grades 6 to 9 were simultaneously transported to the hospital for emergency care.
