Beekeepers in Hakkari expressed satisfaction with the electric fence support provided against bear attacks and also requested assistance for honey sales. Benefiting from the “I Built a Fence, My Bees Are Safe” project by the Hakkari Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, beekeepers thanked the project.

Bahar Özatak, a beekeeper in Durankaya town, stated that she experienced losses of hives and bees due to bear attacks, and that the electric fences prevented this problem. Özatak noted that the support is useful not only for beekeepers but also for those who want to protect their gardens. She also mentioned that fake honey in the market negatively affects their sales and they expect support.
